Mission Partnerships:

Disciples. On mission together. To make disciples of all nations.

LEMA HOME and RIOVERDE MINISTRY CENTER Project

John and Jissell Lema are missionaries to students and young adults. John also serves as pastor for several church plants. Their ministry includes discipleship and leadership development. There are several young men John is training to become pastors.

The Lemas currently rent a house in Rioverde, Ecuador. They are raising support each month to pay their rent and living expenses. On the same property, there is a building that could be used as a place for young people to gather for worship and Bible studies, as well as for job and skills training.

The property would be a perfect future base of operations for their ministry in Rioverde and the surrounding communities.

John and Jissell could purchase their home and the other building on the property for $70,000. MPIM is partnering with the Lemas as they reach this part of Ecuador with the gospel.

Join us in partnering with John and Jissell by helping to provide a permanent ministry base in Rioverde.

Lema Vehicle Project Ecuador (Complete 2026)

PROJECT COMPLETED!

Praise God! Thanks to your incredible generosity, $8,000 was raised to provide John and Jissell Lema with a reliable vehicle for their ministry in Esmeraldas, Ecuador. John can now safely travel between communities and transport Afro-Ecuadorian youth to Bible studies, English classes, and retreats. Thank you for partnering with the Lemas!

Here's just a small sampling of how partners from different cultures and contexts work together for the gospel.

Resources

Through giving and sharing resources, we can help with the ongoing work of field missionaries and provide for needs in the communities they serve.

Collaboration

Collaboration is not only with mission partners in another culture but can be done with other local churches as well. Through strategic planning and pooling resources, we participate together in the gospel.

Strategic Sending

Mission trips should be strategic. By sending teams to serve alongside long-term mission partners in this way, we are cultivating cross-cultural relationships to make disciples together.
